I picked up this book knowing that the investigation would have been not that great, but I was wrong. The mystery would be interesting with a different detective because, gosh, Gavin is the king of TSTL characters. Seriously, you don't really know the meaning of TSTL until you met Gavin DeGrassi: He is an insult to the reader's intelligence. SoThe case's resolution is tremendously bad. The relationship between Gavin and Ben is ok (nothing original) but Gavin never takes the slightest responsibility for the failure of his marriage, and he exposes himself always due to events beyond his will therefore, zero growth. The end is rushed and when compared to the first half of the book it seems a summary of a summary.
