The novella was undoubtedly fascinating and beautifully written. Didier is a nice character: captivating like an Epicurean and fragile like a child, but as for Caroly, her fantasies are not my fantasies. So, being inside her head for the whole story was -although necessary- at times annoying and at times tedious.
